DALLAS, TX – September 2, 2015 - Dr. Edward Bujold, MD, FAAFP, KPN Health’s Chief Medical Officer, attended the Patient Centered Primary Care Collaborative Taskforce (PCPCC) meeting at the Graham Center in Washington, DC.
As part of the PCPCC Taskforce representing the physician perspective, Dr. Bujold helped make recommendations to Medicare in regards to patient-centered medical homes and health care delivery systems. Three certifying agencies, NCQA, URAC and BCBS of Michigan, were also participating as stakeholders at the meeting.
“It was very interesting to hear about the expectations of the other stakeholders which certainly was different from my perspective as a physician!” said Dr. Bujold.
Dr. Bujold’s recommendations came from his first-hand experience running a primary care practice in Granite Falls, NC and from leading his practice to achieve NCQA PCMH Level 3 recognition and successfully attest for Meaningful Use Stage 2.
